War Without End Pt 1
C&C: Corwin is seen seated at a workstation, positioned slightly to the right of the Command Console. In the background, Ivanova strides along the gallery towards the main entrance, presumably intending to leave the Observation Dome. The door swings open, but before she can depart Corwin turns in her direction.
Corwin : Commander - we're picking up a distress call.
Ivanova: (Halting in the doorway, then moving in his direction) Identify.
Corwin: (Turning back to his console with a perplexed frown) I can't. It's not coming from a ship. There's no physical source for the signal - just an area. Sector 14.
Ivanova: (With some confusion) That's impossible. Sector 14's been under quarantine for almost 3 years. That's where Babylon 4 disappeared. (with an expressive shrug) Let me hear it.
(Corwin dutifully relays the signal through a general broadcast system. The signal is initially weak, punctured by bursts of static, but quickly resolves into a human voice laden with desperation.)
Message: They're coming through! (The deep thud and grind of successive explosions are heard in the background throughout the message.) Repeat - they're coming through! This is Earth Alliance Station Babylon 5. They're all over the place!
(During the course of the message, the camera swings slowly from Corwin's worried to countenance to that of Ivanova, whose puzzled expression is rapidly dissolving into one of horror)
Corwin: (Raising astonished eyes in Ivanova's direction) Commander...... that's your voice.
Ivanova: (Looking increasingly disturbed) It can't be!
Corwin: (Glancing back at his console before returning his attention to Ivanova) Computer voice scan confirms it. That's you!
