Tril with Rose and Almond Sauce Ingredients 4 fresh fillets of Tril (or any Centauri freshwater fish) 1 tbsp oil (could all bachelors please note that the oil required is of the cooking variety, and not the type used on Starfury cockpit door-hinges) 1 tsp sugar 1 pinch saffron 1/2 cup fresh rose petals 3 tbsp ground and toasted almonds 1 tbsp cornstarch or arrowroot Heat the oil in a spacious pan, and fry the Tril until the meat flakes easily with a fork. Set aside and keep warm while preparing the sauce. First, place the rose petals and 1 tbsp of the ground almonds into a food processor, and grind until reduced to a paste. If you find yourself unable to operate the food processor, then placing the ingredients in a sturdy plastic bag, and hitting them repeatedly with the 2258 limited edition of "Whoops! Earth Minbari War" will probably have the desired effect. Dissolve the corn starch/arrowroot in 1 cup of water, and add the sugar, saffron and 2 tbsps of the ground almonds. Simmer until thickened, and add the pulverised rose and almond mixture, and simmer for a further minute or so. Do not allow the sauce to boil. Ths is a reasonably advanced recipie, so please be assured that even the most blackened Tril is edible once doused in enough ketchup, and if the sauce goes wrong, it makes a wonderful sealant for plugging up minor hull breaches, or a robust adhesive for airfix models of Starfuries.
