GROPOS
Exterior shot of Babylon 5. The camera moves rapidly towards the bulbous curve of Blue Sector, before the scene is replaced by the interior of C&C. Corwin is seen finishing some task at his workstation as in the foreground, Ivanova's feet suddenly appear on the Command Console.
Ivanova: (Leaning back in her chair, feet up, and face bearing an expression of supreme contentment, as Corwin acends the steps behind her) No traffic....no complaints.....no noise...... traders, troublemakers and ambassadors all tucked safely in their little beds.....I love this time of night.
Corwin: (Leaning against the railings behind his commanding officer, and keeping his face completely neutral) There *is* no night in deep space.......and time is a meaningless concept when you stop and think about it.
(During this speech Ivanova's expression progresses from puzzlement to outright exasperation, before her attention is claimed by another Tech)
Tech : Commander - the Jump Gate is on line. I read 6 ships.
(Ivanova immediately rises to her feet, turning her attention towards the command console. In an external shot, the Jump Gate erupts with it's customary blueish flare, and a convoy of ships emerges from the vortex)
Corwin: (Having by this stage taken up position beside Ivanova) They're Earthforce.
Tech : I'm receiving a Code 10 Ultraviolet docking request.
Ivanova : (Turning to Corwin) Inform the Captain immediately, and alert the Dockers Guild. (Corwin nods in affirmation, and departs) There's always something.
