Divided Loyalties

Back

The Zocalo : Ivanova and Talia Winters are seen seated together at a table in a cafe, enjoying lunch and a little playful conversation.

Ivanova : (With abundant humour) I'll have you know what I've been nothing but compassionate and understanding. I mean all you had to do was admit that you were wrong, and I was right, and everything would have been fine.

Talia : Oh, you are the *most* stubborn....

(Her comment is interrupted by the sound of Ivanova's link)

Ivanova : Ivanova here

Corwin : You're needed up in C&C, Commander.

(The scene then moves to the Observation Dome, and a close proximity shot of Corwin stationed at the Command Console. His face bears a serious expression, as in response to an incoming signal, his eyes drop for a moment towards an unseen monitor, then return to the viewport.)

Corwin : A ship came in through the jump gate a few minutes ago - but now it's just sitting there.

********************************************

C&C : Ivanova stands to one side of the main viewport, contemplating the damaged ship outside. As she moves towards the command console, and opens a communication channel, Corwin becomes visible in the foreground, although completely out of focus.

Ivanova : Unidentified ship - this is Babylon Control - please respond. (Glancing in Corwin's direction) Anything?

Corwin : (Coming into focus) Negative. Still registering 1 life-form.

Ivanova : Ok - let's bring her in and see what's inside. Better have a med team standing by.

Corwin : (Nods in confirmation)

********************************************

Captains Quarters : Following a fairly heated exchange with his second in command, Sheridan is seen looking completely distracted, staring into the middle distance.

Ivanova : (With some concern) Captain?

Sheridan : (Turning to Ivanova with a puzzled expression) I just remembered a dream I had a couple of months ago. I....(At this point the captain's link activates) Sheridan.

Corwin : Message for you from Ambassador Delenn, Captain.

Sheridan : What's the message?

Corwin : Just one word: "Now."

**************************************************

Captain's Office : A tense atmosphere prevails, as one by one B5's command personnel are summoned for a telepathic probe. Corwin enters, and walks quietly towards Sheridan's desk, standing respectfully to attention before his commanding officer.

Corwin : (With his customary politeness)You said you needed to see me?

Sheridan : Yes I did......I just wanted to say I think you're doing a very good job. (The camera then moves into a close up shot of the "renegade" telepath, Lyta Alexander. She stares intently at Corwin's back for a moment, before looking past him to Sheridan, and shaking her head.) That'll be all.

Corwin : (Looking a little perplexed) Oh.....well, thank you.
