Acts of Sacrifice

Sheridan's Office - Sheridan, Ivanova, Franklin and Garibaldi are seated around the captain's desk, being addressed by a characteristically passionate G'Kar.
G'Kar : Then you believe me? You will intervene?
Sheridan : (With some hesitation) I can't promise anything - but I'll talk to my government.
G'Kar : (Obviously overwhelmed with relief) That's all I ask. If Earth takes a stand, the rest will follow - I know they will. (Drawing both fists sharply towards his chest) Thank you Captain.
(The momentary silence which follows G'Kar's departure is interrupted by the Captain's link)
Sheridan : Sheridan - talk to me.
Corwin : That ship you've been waiting for has just come out of hyperspace Captain.
Sheridan : On our way.

Sheridan's office Following the apparently successful negotiation of an alliance, Ivanova is seen serving tea to the Lumati Ambassador, and his translator, Tok.
Ivanova : So you say that there are just a few details to work out prior to closing this deal?
Lumati : (Waving Tok away, and fixing Ivanova with a slightly questionable look)Tradition is important to my people. Our important agreements are symbolic of coming together in...(With dubious emphasis, and regarding Ivanova in a deeply suggestive manner)... perfect union.
Ivanova : (Still smiling pleasantly, and patently oblivious to the subtext of the ambassador's statement) Well - this certainly qualifies. The captain felt very strongly about making this happen.
Lumati : Well will conclude the agreement in our traditional manner. We will have sex.
Ivanova : (Horrified)Sex!!???
Lumati : (Advancing towards her, and already loosening his clothing) It is necessary to finalize the agreement.
Ivanova : (Practically speechless) I....ah.....certainly appreciate.....(Camera moves into a close up shot of her hand as she activates her own link) Em...I have to get this....Ivanova here.
(Shot moves to C&C, and a completely mystified Corwin)
Corwin: Commander?
(Action returns to the captain's office)
Ivanova : What? (Backing away from the advancing Lumati) Oh yes the.....Pak'ma'ra deal. I forgot totally about it. I'll be right there.
